Tips for Coloring Octopuses

All you really need is some good ol' crayons or colored pencils, but sometimes I like to use markers for those bold lines. And if you're feeling fancy, glitter glue can make those tentacles pop!

Choosing Your Colors

Octopuses can change their color to match their surroundings, so feel free to get wild with your colors! Once, I made an octopus with rainbow arms, and my little sister thought it looked like a disco octopus. She loved it! So, don't hold back—use all your favorite colors.

Cool Octopus Facts

Did you know octopuses have three hearts? Crazy, right? And they're super smart—they can even solve puzzles! I once told my cousin about an octopus named Hank from Finding Dory, and she got so excited that she drew Hank escaping from a jar. It was hilarious!

My Story

I remember the first time I saw an octopus at the aquarium. It was all curled up and then suddenly shot out a jet of water—it totally surprised me! I told my nephew about it, and we ended up making up stories about an octopus superhero that sprays water to save the day. It made coloring our octopus pages even more fun, imagining all the cool adventures they'd have. So, while you color, think about what kind of octopus story you can come up with. It makes the whole thing way more exciting!
